I like toothpaste; AquaFresh is preferred since it offers a great variety of colors that is not only aesthetic to the eyes, but also cleans teeth quite well. So back to business…China potentially likes taking risk as it has demonstrated in one of their products. The U.S. recently took some exports off China’s toothpaste and now accusing it to be dangerous because of one of the chemical it has induced upon it: diethylene glycol.
China classifies this as a harmless chemical when used in morsel quantities but the U.S. Food and Drug Administration would not give up its doubts. Recently, in Latin America, the same chemical was found to kill about 100 people and sicken others. China accuses the U.S. to be unscientific and irresponsible for the decision of not accepting the toothpastes. Even though China strongly encourages for the U.S. to buy this product, the latter will not consent. I think its a wise choice of the United States to defy China’s products since it can potentially harm many people.
