With Windows Vista coming soon, it’s going to become more complicated to choose which computer to purchase.Microsoft has tried to figure out a way to advise consumers on what kind of PC they need to run Vista. This new advice system might help consumers make better decisions when buying computers, but it’s not going to provide all the answers. You have to look for computers that say “Vista Capable” or “Vista Premium Ready.” The Vista Capable machines will run the Windows Vista Home Basic version, which is essentially just a more modern version of the current Windows XP Home edition. The Vista Premium Ready machines will run Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, which runs the rich 3-D interface called Aero Glass. Aero Glass allows you to organize your files in three dimensions and see through translucent images of files or Web pages. The cheapest PCs available today aren’t necessarily configured right to run Vista Home Premium. They might have too much processing power and too little main memory or graphics. Naturally, Intel (which makes microprocessors) doesn’t agree with this, while Nvidia and Samsung (which, respectively, make graphics and memory chips) do.

A social network can require a lot of work and experience, but with the right effort and mind, one can achieve making a successful dating website. To store this information, I would most likely use a database MySql. Incorporating people’s data via MySql will help anyone access the data any where the person interacts to the internet. Moreover, I will use flash and Javascript to make simple games but later upgrading to Java. I will also interact each technology in a coherent, simple fashion but highly effective.
Using a database such as MySql would store a subject’s information and displaying will be done via php coding. Uploading pictures would require the page to have basic features of Dreamweaver. An appropriate approach would be to create a button and then link the text space to the database; thus, saving the person’s picture in his profile. The databases will be connected through php and it will show one when he/she searches for the search query in the corresponding text box. Clearly displayed and organized through MySql, the dating site will have its information connected successfully.
Making games and displaying entertaining videos would require time and effort in Flash and dedication to Javascript. Through various tweens in movie clips and buttons, a successful Flash game can be made. Also, adding basic Actionscripts and looping can entertain anyone as long as its aesthetic. I would put games encompassing a person throwing a ball back and forth and see how long one can do it with the speed of the ball constantly changing. Another game I will try to embed would test how one can press their mouse. The harder the subject clicks, the more points the corresponding user will attain. Simple but addictive games are perfect for attracting traffic among many users.
Interaction of technology will help me thoroughly in building a successful site. Infusing pictures edited in photoshop and then using in Flash will give a professional outlook on the object. Moreover, using professionally made templates, but then changing color, shape, and other factors can create a attractive but at the same time, professional, websites. Allowing users to use codes in their text would make them favor the social networking site as it gives more options for the user to express themselves. Last but not the least, using other Macromedia products such as Fireworks embedded in the user’s default text would let them express their title names effectively and creatively.
A dating site requires dedication and hard work but most importantly, the effective skills. Combining MySql and then connecting via php is one of the best ways to construct a vehement database. Via a intranet, local employees can access the database and edit anything. Also, posting attractive banners and games would increase traffic as more and more young souls dwell upon simple addictive games. Most importantly, one can only do this if one ponders over many resources of technologies and synthesizes them for a productive, whole cause. In conclusion, this is how I would make my site.

Banks doing what??
Reliable bank, SunTrust, is going cheap on the job and intends to devastate 2,400 lives. In their glory to save $530 million annually by 2009, they will be taking away the corresponding amount of jobs. By this fiscal year, they will save about $45 million initially this quarter because of the pretax earnings of their former workers.
What’s SunTrust facing ?
SunTrust faces a challenging future for there seems to be a high competition against other lenders in various margins and increasing credit losses. Current chief executive incumbent holder, James M. Wells, has made a progress in the expansion of the financial institution by three times its former state, and he acquired the position past January. So his current plan seems to be widening their communication towards their clients and hire those that support that department.

Just when we all thought life was heading to a more suitable form of peace where terrorism was minimizing, we find out the bitter truth. Elite terrorist group, Al-Qaida, had one of its old suspected members who was adeptly skilled at computers and planned many operations emancipated. He was initially arrested in Pakistan on July 13, 2004, but according to the News Network International, he was reported free on Monday. Both Khan the suspect’s defense lawyer and Pakistan’s Attorney General have confirmed the boy’s diffusion into the open world.
The reason he was caught as a victim of the cause was because many files were found containing information on a plot to attack buildings in the United States and the UK. There was a positive side to his arrest for he exercised mutiny in the group and contributed to the arrest of Musaad Aruchi, a senior member of the terrorist group. British Authorities, however, arrested 13 more members of a British terrorist cell which Khan has notably communicating with, in accordance to NNI.

“LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (Reuters) — American Airlines said on Friday that it sued the Internet search leader Google, accusing it of selling search words involving American’s name.
The claim is the latest in a string of cases filed by businesses that argue that Google’s pay-per-click advertising system, its main source of revenue, is used unfairly by competitors to grab business.
Google has prevailed in at least two similar cases in the United States, including a lawsuit brought by Geico, the auto insurer, but it still faces trial in California this year in a case brought by American Blind and Wallpaper Factory, as well as overseas claims.
The American Airlines lawsuit, filed on Thursday in Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas, accuses Google of violating trademark laws with its practice of selling search terms such as “American Airlines” or “AA.com” to other companies for advertising.
The airline, a unit of AMR, accuses Google of selling the right to use American Airlines’ trademarks and service marks, or “words, phrases, or terms confusingly similar to those marks,” to competitors who then direct searchers to their own Web pages.
“This lawsuit involves efforts by certain companies to free ride on American Airlines’ brands through use of Google’s technology,” according to the filing.
Google said it was on solid ground.
“We are confident that our trademark policy strikes a proper balance between trademark owners’ interests and consumer choice, and that our position has been validated by decisions in previous trademark cases,” Google said in a statement.
American Airlines, the nation’s largest carrier, said it did not want to prevent the display of search terms, but wanted Google to stop selling its trademarks and related terms.”
I think its funny if AA wins this case. Google shouldn’t be reprimanded so much by third parties for being such a good SE. You don’t see people suing small Search Engines, why is Google picked on so much! But we’ll see what happens…

Making side cash has gotten so broad, that it can actually be ‘hard’ to not make money while writing your favorite topics. Recently, I joined Bloggerwave, a Danish ad network company which offers its opportunities just about everywhere in the world. So, no matter where you live, you will most likely be applicable for their opportunities. So, why not make that extra pocket change while you write for you own favorite topics.
What’s best about them?
Their site structure is very straightforward, and has a variety of opportunities. In addition, they pay out bi-weekly, so why go with companies who have a minimum payout, or monthly payouts. Get your payments faster, and enjoy.

For those of you who do not know what broadband is, its pretty much Dsl. Well a lot of us watch movies online and now it can result in a deadly price. Broadband companies are PONDERNG on charging the freedom we young folks have of watching videos. Over the next four years the number of videos watched over the internet is expected to quadruple, with people moving from short clips to hour-long programmes. So since a lot of us already watch it, and it is usually slow on some sites, it seems the excessive use will get worse as time moves on.
The reason for this uprise is because downloading videos uses up a lot of “bandwidth”, which could cause problems for the broadband network. The more videos you watch, the more bandwidth you use. Sometimes you can get in trouble by your ISP for excessive use of bandwidth. Channel 4 and the BBC are to make it possible in coming months for viewers to download episodes of their favourite television programs. The BBC iPlayer, launched last month, gives viewers access to most of their programs.
So now with more companies like BBC giving out a free distribution of videos, this can dangerously affect the network costs of ISPs. And with the iPlayer launching, don’t expect a smooth ride with that bill. Those ISPs are going to charge YOU for the high use of bandwidth so internet WILL get expensive in near future.

The new Nintendo Wii has said to be sold out in North America at around 600,000 units declared on Tuesday. It had launched on November 19 after its rival Playstation which costs more than twice as the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo made about $190 million in its first eight days after the release from the Wii accessories, consoles, and game title hardware. Retail stores constantly have sold out units everytime they ship in due to the high demand. Nintendo aims to sell four million units by the end of the year. Unlike its rivals, the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 which focus on intense next-generation graphics, the Wii focuses on a whole new method of playing games by using motion-sensor where the user moves around to maneuvar the game.

If I were a venture capitalist, I would highly invest in the production of hologramic tv which can create a reflection of the actual show. This 3-D technology will come to life in a 10 by 10 ft of ground space. That will make the show come to life and modernize this world. Investment of this product would probably lucrative due to the excitement of what technology can do.
