What’s happening to dollar?

Is the dollar really going down the drain? A question that has created some inner fear, on whether is the dollar really going to sink relatively to other markets. Well, think again because this may be the time to buy more dollars than before.

According to Mark Farrington, global head of currency management at Principal Global Investors in London, which runs money for big institutions. The dollar’s decline is cyclical, not structural, says Farrington.

The dollar has decreased because of cyclical, not structural. All this basically means is that the dollar has declined due to the mini recession in the U.S’s economy, and not by the rate of employment. Another reason that has caused the dollar to decrease is the decreasing demand for dollar. Many products that are sold in U.S are actually outsourced, thus, giving other countries the opportunity to  actually buy the product from where its made, in this case, China. Additionally, you might have noticed of dollar depreciation gradually, but the actual figures go like this: Dollar has decreased about 29% in the past five years relative to other currencies.

Why does Mark think the dollar will appreciate again?

Well, Mark explains that the dollar will appreciate because:

central banks still invest heavily in dollar-linked securities, particularly Treasurys. Right now 65% of the world’s reserves are held in dollars, with 30% in euros and 5% in other currencies. The U.S. used to have 80% before the euro debuted in the late 1990s,

As you can see the dollar has a high chance of appreciation because many of world reserves are in dollars, also because the decrease of interest rates. The main factor in the depreciation of dollar has been the comparative rates between nation’s currencies. The dollar has depreciated against the pound. The pound has reached $2. So every 1 pound is $2. Before, it was 1 pound for $1.50. The Bank of England currently have 5.75% interest rates, so investors might just burrow money from the U.S since the interest rate just declined, thus making the demand for dollar go up.

Perhaps, after reading and understanding all this, it probably is the right time to buy dollars.

If you’re like me, you can’t wait for anything star wars to be released. Now with no more movies coming out video games are the next best things. Fighting with light sabers is something we’ve all fantasized about when we first heard of the Wii-mote interface, but can it really be true? Can it really work as well as one would hope? My opinion is for it to work right; the game would have to match your Wii-mote moves exactly. Also complete with sound effects, and your hits on your saber should trigger a rumble in the Wii-mote or something. And though there is added light saber content for the Wii, it shouldn’t feel tacked on. The combat should be as realistic as possible and you should have to get good at saber fighting to progress. Not have some other way to get through the same obstacles.

If it’s done well, this could sell Wii’s like nothing before. Imagine crossing sabers with your deepest foes, say, Darth Vader or Darth Maul, or if you’re of the dark-side, Obi-Wan Kenobi or Luke? I’m ready for this to turn out lame or even not near as involving as I’d like, but the potential is extremely exciting. Kind of wish they’d gone with HD output, since this fairly cries out for serious resolution on as big a screen as you can find!

That’s all my deep thought into this but now into the known details about the game. According to www.lucasarts.com the game comes out with two completely new and innovative technologies, Digital Molecular Matter by Pixelux Entertainment and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. These groundbreaking technologies combine with Havoc physics to create true next-gen game play and the Force like it’s never been seen or experienced before. The DMM lets the objects around you act as they would in real life. When you throw a baseball at glass it breaks different every time. With DMM wood breaks like wood, glass breaks like glass, and metal dents like metal. Not only does it act in natural characteristics of the object but it also depends on the force and direction it is being asserted on. This truly is groundbreaking technology to make it look like real life. Also the game comes out with Euphoria which allows the characters to act as real humans with a brain and nervous system. What do I mean by this? I’m talking about when you throw a person off a roof of a building, a human would try to act on instinct and grab on to something. Bots now act with human like AI movements and reactions unique to each character.

In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed players will play as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice”. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. We humans of Earth, especially among the east coast of the United States have always cherished the fact that we have nice beawtiful swunshwine, but for the most part, we defy the contemplation that we are vulnerable to dangers many men have not yet faced till now.

But as we can see, the tables have CLEARLY turned. We now face devastating winds and rains and other hazardous materials in which one may resent his/her opinion and ultimately claim the situation as “unacceptable”. So now the battle stands, in which the little clever monkeys that we are, to effectively protect ourselves from the mother nature.

So basically, FIU had an epiphany earlier this lifetime and decided to raise the level of tolerance and act now before we unbearably witness our own doom in our own hands. They made the WALL OF WIND, which is just 6 BIG fans that literally throws over a 120 mph winds towards any given property.

What’s special is that it tests how strong the roof of the house is. Their purpose is to make a house survive AT LEAST category 3 hurricane winds. So they put this iron mat or something below the roof’s tiles and it sticks out about 6 inches above or so. The point is it hold the roof tiles in place. Recently coke introduced its newest idea for their product Sprite that when opened, ice will be created inside the bottle from chemical reactions. I feel this is a great idea since I can’t drink any type of soft drink without ice in it. The only downside about drinking soda on ice is that it dilutes the soda. This is all fixed with their idea. Since the ice is created with the soda it won’t dilute it and have a super chilled temperature to it also.

The only downside with this is that it can only be sold with special vending machines and won’t work if left in room temperature. They are advertising there new product as sprite Super Chilled and it could be launched in the UK as early as next year. Coke hopes the drink will tap into the trend for alcoholic drinks, particularly beers. I’m not sure how they’re going to get beer to freeze since alcohol only can freeze at -5. But it should be interesting finding out.

I personally think this is going to be the next coke zero and increase their annual earnings at least 20%. It’s a great idea and a great invention on their part. I know I’ll be buying these special sprites just to see the ice form! Also check out checkmytech.com!!!

Remember, when we had all the new sodas coming out, but coke would always have those unique flavors? I remember, the time when cherry coke, and vanilla coke came out, and the result was just astounding. However, now there is Coke zero. This is a new product of Coca-Cola, and I am sure it has just a unique taste. Unlike other sodas, coke has a really distinguished taste, where its not too sweet, or too sour. Well, I haven’t tried the new product just yet, but I really look forward to trying this unique product. I am sure it will be something, that I won’t be able to resist when I see it for the second time.

The future is here with japans newest prototype building.  The XSEES 4000 is currently on the drawing board for construction and if it receives the green light, will be the world’s tallest populated structure at a whopping 13,000 feet.  To put in perspective the current tallest building, Taipei 101, is only a mere 1,671 feet. 

The XSEES 4000 is built to resemble Mount Fuji and represents the Japanese view of a utopian society.  This magnificent structure can house 1 million inhabitants and will be powered by solar energy.  The whole project is estimated to cost anywhere from $300-900 billion dollars.
