Well, some say making money doesn’t take much time if luck is on your side, but some also say losing years of reputation and fortune doesn’t take time either, and that is very true.
Recently, Topps Meat Company the second largest manufacturer of frozen hamburgers said it was going out after it called in nearly 21.7 million pounds of Ground beef last month. The reason for this recall was because of all the ground beef being infected with E. Coli which causes the following:
several intestinal and extra-intestinal infections such as urinary tract infections, meningitis, peritonitis, mastitis, septicemia and Gram-negative pneumonia.
The company said it was unable to cope with the financial situations due to majority of the products being infected, and has therefore decided to go out of business. However, some of its 87 employees will stay there, to investigate on how the bacteria got into the beef.
This is really sad to hear that a company that had opened in 1940, built such a outstanding reputation ( they had their products in large supermarkets such as walmart) is going out of business within a matter of month. Tough luck.
