BEA denies the pocket change offer from Oracle.

BEA { (BEAS.O: QuoteProfile , Research)}  - Business software maker has rejected a $6.7 billion takeover bid from Oracle Corp (ORCL.O: QuoteProfile , Research). BEA doesn’t need that pocket change, because it feels it has the potential to make more, I assume.

As seen by many analysts, BEA shares had a larger increase than Oracle shares.

Shares rose 38 percent, above a five-year high, and activist investor Carl Icahn, BEA’s biggest shareholder and a vocal critic of management, said he was pleased by Oracle’s offer but called for higher bids.

BEA is defnitely not settling down for that tiny offer, they mean big money, and they mean it big. Let’s see what happens, maybe Hp, or IBM.

What does BEA really sell?

Same question I was wondering. What software do they make? They make softwares called ” middleware” which helps business computers systems communicate with each other.
