Recently, I realized how much Craiglist.org really makes. Those of you who aren’t aware of Craiglist, it is one of the largest sites on the web that lists jobs, auctions(not so big), dating, automotives, and everything you are possibly looking for. The company makes around 10 M a year from listing real estate properties, and those only account for 1% of the total postings. Not bad.
Why is Craiglist so popular?
Well, I think mainly because it hasn’t been monetized at all. You will find no ads for what so ever, so it is pretty strict on ads. Even if it ads like google ads, it would be make so much. The site receives about 5 Billion pageviews a month.
